Use this to aid the settling in of your children.

A range of documents to help aid your children and parents settle in at nursery.

It includes:

  1. All about me – parents fill in this document to let practitioners know about their child’s home life. Use it to collect information about a child’s siblings, pets and cultural background.
  2. All about me background information – record key information about your new starters including information out about the child’s medical and personal history
  3. My first week at nursery – record how the child’s settling-in sessions went and how they were in their first few weeks.  Getting feedback from the child, parent and keyworker.
  4. Baseline Assessment (Achievement Update – Prime and Specific Areas) – all children require a baseline assessment when starting nursery.  Use this to track their development at the start of nursery.
  5. Room Care Plan – A care plan for children aged 0-2, 2-3 and 3-5.  Use this form to find out how independent each child is in their care.
  6. Early Years Outcomes-My Learning Journey – use this to track children’s development from ages 0 to 60 months.  This document uses the EYFS learning goals covering development in the 7 areas of learning
  7. Confidential File Cover Sheet – used to record events which may be a safeguarding concern.  Have a record of all events in one place so that you can identify any concerns faster.
  8. What is key person information sheet – a document to explain to parents who the child’s key person is and the role & purpose of a key person.
